Patrick Déniel, therapist in Nantes and Paris
Before becoming a therapist in Nantes and Paris, I had been working for more than twenty years as a journalist in the french specialized magazine L’Usine nouvelle. I started my own therapy in 2006. At first with an art-therapist and then with a psychoanalyst. During this twelve-year journey came the idea that I might one day be able to help other people by way of therapy.
For more than eight years, I followed the courses of Centre interdisciplinaire de formation en psychothérapie relationnelle (Cifpr). I chose this particular school because it integrates several approaches: psychoanalysis, gestalt therapy, bioenergetics, group therapy. This “multi-referential” corpus helps the therapist to avoid a rigid theoretical framework.
I was an observer as well as an assistant in a therapy group in Paris for two and a half years. Since then, I have been facilitating a monthly group in Paris as a co-therapist. I am also participating in a supervision group in Nantes. My work is also supervized with a senior therapist.
I am not a native english speaker but i have been using english during my former professionnal life, and i use english all the time in my private life.
Sessions are around 50 minutes long and can be conducted either in French or English as well as in Paris or Nantes. Don’t hesitate to call me for a first session where we’ll get to know what brings you to a therapist. You will also be able to ask any questions about my practise and my framework.
Appointments
In Nantes, you can take an appointment on monday, tuesday and wednesday. My office is in the center, near the cathedral. I’m in Paris every other week, on thursday and friday. My office is very close to métro Père Lachaise.
